Neko Neko Wai!
So, I have a cat. Yeah, I am allergic to cats. Yet, here I sit at my keyboard full-well knowing that one of the furry things sits in my master bedroom!Welllll ... To say the least it wasn't an intentional getting. We found it on our doorstep meowing its ass off and trying to come in. So, we let it in. We had my Sister-in-law's dog for the night and the cat decided that its food was good enough to munch, so it chowed down. We took the dog back to its home, and examined the feline. Well kept, well groomed, well behaved, and loves humans. It doesn't bite, or bark, or for that matter even claw things (intentionally)...yet he is without his original master.
I think this thing is about 3 or 4 years old - maybe younger ..but incredibly nice. So I got it a bunch of toys and such, pinned a couple of "Found Cat" signs up around the neighborhood and adjacent areas etc, and let it ride. My fiance has become quite attatched to it b/c she has been wanting a pet for a very long time. I had insisted that no cats be allowed b/c of my allergies, and since we live in an apt that a dog is just out of the question. Still, she wanted a pet! So ....this cat shows up and now she is grabby as the day is long.
Currently - I am demon with red itchy eyes and a drippy nose, and stuffy head. This is some sort of retribution for my disdain for the things. The cat is likeable, but physically this is definetly going to be a taxing thing on me. I can't be miserable constantly - I just can't. They say that I can build an immunity, and Allegra/Claritin are there to help out a bit...overall though its gonna be tough call for me if the owners don't come a callin'. The cat is not neutered, or declawed either - which I'd prefer on an animal ..but still, that is 2 more things that are a risk overall. It doesn't shed at all, and is a Kremlin Tabby Cat w/ stripes. Its quite a beautiful creature and will go to any length to make its masters happy - excluding shaving itself bare, lol.
I need rest...I have been a allergic mess all damn day, my only solace is this room in which I sit - totally cat free altogether and sealed from the rest of the apt. I venture I will be sleeping on the twin bed in here just in order to get by.
